This guard will monitor gate traffic, patrol the property and secure buildings and grounds at the end of the day. Prepare for a Hurricane
Posted on Apr 2nd, 2018
Prepare for a hurricane before leaving!
LIV's Safety Committee reminds owners to prepare property and secure outdoor items before leaving for the season. Hurricane Harvey barely missed LIV, demonstrating the unpredictable nature of tropical storms. Many owners remember to install hurricane shutters, but many forget to secure patio table and chairs, BBQ grills, golf carts and other outdoor items. Securing everything will help keep people safe, lower property damage risks, and help keep debris out of the canals. If you have any questions, please call the Welcome Center.

RAT POISON Warning
Posted on Mar 6th, 2018
PET OWNERS BEWARE!

Several pets have recently been poisoned by eating Rat Poison Blocks left in yards.

PLEASE: Rat Poison should never be placed in a yard without putting it in a bait box first. Pets think it’s a treat!

PLEASE: When walking your dogs (cats) keep them on a short leash……they are attracted to the smell of Rat Bait. It can make them violently ill and possibly kill them!

Happy August Villagers!

With school starting later this year (maybe), the kids will want to stay and enjoy themselves. They can do so and still follow the rules to stay safe.

Please do not let underage kids drive golf carts, we have fined several owners due to minors driving golf carts and staying out after curfew, (LIV curfew and Cameron County).

20 citations have been served for minors driving, 4 have been fined for a second offense during July.

Parents, it is up to you to follow the rules.  Lot numbers are required on every golf cart as well.

LIV Rules & Regs state on page 15:
GOLF CART OPERATION
1. All owners & renters must register their golf carts & sign an authorization agreement at the Welcome Center for usage of a golf cart in the village.
2. All golf carts in the Village are required to have visible lot numbers displayed.
3. Safety, Insurance and liability require golf carts be driven by licensed operators.
4. If upon request by Village patrol, you cannot show a valid operator’s license, you will be required to park the golf cart while you either get your license or have a licensed driver drive the cart to your lot.

No matter what rumors say, we (LIV) are under the jurisdiction of the State of Texas and Cameron County. That means we follow Cameron County has ordered curfew as follows:

Under 17 yrs.- 10 PM
Over 17 yrs.- 11 PM

Thank you and stay safe.
